Tales From Deadwood: The Killers

My copies of this book arrived today, so I assume it's either out there on the shelves or will be soon, so you can pick up a copy if you have any cash left over after Christmas. This is the third and for now final book in the series, but I'm still hoping there may be more later.

Cool. I'm in a western mood. I just started reading Brand of Vengeance, Jubal Cade #11 today and it's pretty decent. This one was by a guy named Kenneth Bulmer, who I collect.

I'll check for this one at my local personal bookseller (Wal-Mart) today. I enjoyed the first two, and like you I hope the series continues.

Speaking of westerns, Jim, do you know who wrote the "Jed Cross" books? I have one called "All God's Chillun Got Guns," by him, and I see there are a couple of others with his handle on them. I have a feeling it's a house name.

As far as I know, all the Jed Cross books are by Stephen Winsten. In addition to them, he wrote a few novels under his own name and also wrote some of the Easy Company series (U.S. cavalry Westerns) under the house-name John Wesley Howard. I have a copy of ALL GOD'S CHILLUN GOT GUNS but have never read it.

Thanks a bunch. I'm rereading All God's Chillun now, and it's fairly slow, but I'll let you know when I finish.
