Thanksgiving

I hope all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving have a wonderful holiday today. We're not visiting relatives this year, so we're looking forward to a quiet day at home: watching the parades and the dog show, the traditional turkey dinner, maybe a little football, and of course I plan to write some, too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.

Don't forget the Pepto-Bismol. The stuffing I got this year was so spicy I was up half the night with heartburn. A small price to pay for induling my gluttony, but I'd prefer it hadn't happened.

Cap'n Bob, I never use sage in my stuffing. James is allergic to sage, so I've learned to use other spices over the years. Thyme works well and doesn't cause heartburn like sage will. I think I like the leftovers more than the real meal. There is nothing like a turkey, cornbread dressing, and cranberry sauce sandwich. Now that's a meal.
