Sunday Morning Bonus Pulp: Short Stories, July 25, 1936

SHORT STORIES was a great adventure pulp, and this issue is especially noteworthy because it featured not just one but two of the authors who were dubbed "King of the Pulps" at one time or another: Erle Stanley Gardner and H. Bedford-Jones. They're also two big favorites of mine. There's also an installment of a Halfaday Creek serial by James B. Hendryx and stories by S. Omar Barker, Hapsburg Liebe, and Stephen Chalmers. Looks like a fine issue all around.

We were just mentioning about how rare and expensive TRIPLE X issues are but SHORT STORIES is still possible to collect and read without going broke. One of the better general fiction titles.

I have this issue and it's a good one. Like Walker said this magazine is still affordable and the stories pretty darn good.

Short Stories is a title where I am trying to complete the run. Early on when I started buying them there were so many issues I wanted for a particular author it made sense to get them all.
